The following characters are valid characters that can be used for naming parts, devices, object, variables and passwords in Vijeo-Designer.
a) Alphabet [a-z, A-Z]
b) Numbers [0-9]
c) Underscore [_]
You must use distinct names for all objects in the application. While the application checks to make sure you are using distinct names, there are some scenarios which result in duplicate names and broken object name references.
Note:
1. You cannot use the underscore or numbers as the initial character for a name.
2. You cannot use the underscore in a target name.
3. Java names are reserved and cannot be used as names of objects in Vijeo Designer.
