Restoring a source which has been deleted.
ION EEM (versions 3.95 SP1. 3.96. 4.0, 4.0 R2, 5.0)
A source has been deleted using the Admin Tool (right Click and Delete), accidentally or otherwise, and needs to be restored.
*Warning: Irreparable database damage can occur. This procedure should only be performed by users familiar with SQL Server Management Studio. Databases should be backed up prior to performing this procedure.*
When a source has been deleted using the Admin Tool, it is not actually deleted from the system. Rather it is 'marked' as hidden within the database.
This prevents the source from being recreated should DatabaseLoader -pairs be run again.
To undelete or unhide the source, the sources 'hidden' attribute in the SRC_Source needs to be modified to be 'false' instead of 'true'.
This will make the source appear again in the admin tool on the sources tab.
Execute the following query using a query window in SQL Management Studio:
where hidden = 1
Locate and note the value contained in the SourceID column of the results for the source to be restored.
Execute the following query, replacing x with the SourceID noted in the prior step.
set hidden = 0
where SourceID = x
The source should now once again appear in the Admin Tool on the sources tab by clicking the Refresh button.
