What is the difference between a Standard and Basic Advantys STB network interface module (NIM) ?
The Standard NIM has a full set of features, whereas the Basic NIM has the following limitations:
The Basic NIM supports up to 12 STB IO modules instead of 32.
No extension modules allowed, meaning only one segment.
No Prefered modules or Standard CANopen devices supported.
No reflex actions supported.
No HMI connection allowed to CFG port.
No Advantys Configuration Software support.
Hot swap of IO modules not allowed.
No SIM card supported.
No TEST LED, meaning Test mode not allowed.
Note: The Advantys Basic NIM's have all been obsoleted and the Standard NIM's are the only ones for sale.
