What would cause the Modbus Plus lights to flicker on the BM85C002 when there is no communications directed to the Modbus Plus addresses?

If someone has programmed a xmaster port on a BM85C002 and communicates from the master devices into the BM85C using addresses of the other RS232 slave ports. The communications checks all addresses until it finds the correct address and it will also check the Modbus Plus network and cause the lights to flicker. One way to stop the Modbus Plus port from being polled is to use the internal addresses 71,72,73 and 74 of the slave ports or setup the E1 and E2 table for communicating routing.
