You should find that a WinConX folder is created and placed on your windows desktop upon installation of the Modbus Plus driver. You will find utilities in both the MBX Driver and Virtual MBX Driver folders called MBX Demo and MBP Stat. These utilities will allow users to test for both general network errors and specific node errors. A volt ohmmeter can be used for checking cable continuity. Another common tool for troubleshooting networks is a Time Domain Reflectometer (TDR). This electronic instrument is used to find opens, short circuits, splices, taps, water ingress and other more elusive impedance mismatches.
