When using the Copy-to-Drive with delete function repeatedly with a FAT32 CF Card or USB stick, a user may experience an increase in transfer times.
There is a FAT32 file system limitation that is adversely affecting the Copy-to-Drive with deletion function. The fragments that are created during the deletion of previous data can not be formatted while the file system is performing a write operation. As the operation is executed continuously, these fragments increase in size, forcing the file system to place the new data in unformatted areas of the drive. This results in the increased transfer times.
The workaround is to perform a manual formatting of the removable storage drive ocassionally, especially if the transfer times start to increase.
