    Issue
Customer need to know how to make a database archive manually

    Product Line
    Power Monitoring Expert (PME) 8.x
    StruxureWare Power Monitoring (SPM) 7.x

    Environment
    Database archiving

    Cause
Need to make a full archive or an archive of a certain period of time of the live database without modifying it.

    Resolution

To make an archive of the database please follow the video and instructions below.

Note: Make sure that the user you are logging in with has SQL Sysadmin rights. Otherwise, you will get an error "Computername\useraccount cannot open the Database Manager. To open the Database Manager a user must be a member of the SQL Sysadmin server role".

The user has to be either added to the Sysadmin account or have the credentials to a Sysadmin account to follow the steps below.

Archive databases are attached to the system. Please detach it before making a copy, or moving it to a different location.
    1. Go to Managment Console-->Tools--> Database Manager
    2. If the error "Computername\useraccount cannot open the Database Manager. To open the Database Manager a user must be a member of the SQL Sysadmin server role" occurs, click OK. If the error doesn't pop up go to step 7
    3. Navigate to the DatabaseManager.exe location. It is located in the install drive :\\Program Files (x64)-->Schneider Electric-->System-->bin--> DatabaseManager
    4. Press and hold Shift and Right click on it. Then select Run as different user.
    5. Enter Username and Password of the SQL Sysadmin user and click OK
    6. Once the Database Manager pops up make sure that you have selected the correct database
    7. Click on "..." to navigate to the location where the archive is going to be saved. Click Save
    8. Select the date range, or the beginning of the database and the end date that is desired for this archive
    9. Make sure that the "Remove Archive data from the live database" checkbox is not checked
    10. Click on Ok, and the system would show a message when it finished the archive
    11. Navigate to the location where the archive was saved to make sure the file was added to the correct location
