    How do I set an Auto/Manual or Reference Switching on the Altivar Process Drives?

    Product Line:

    Environment:
    All Altivar Process Drives

    Cause:
    Set up reference switching between two speed references using a digital input to switch between the two.

    Resolution:

    [Complete settings] -> [Command and Reference]
    1. Press the Home button and go to the main menu.
    2. Using the thumb wheel, scroll down to to menu 5 the Complete Settings menu and press OK
    3. Scroll down to menu 5.5 Command and Reference and press OK
    4. Set your first reference by setting Ref Freq 1 Config to AI1, AI2, AI3, HMI or modbus, choose and press OK.
    5. Scroll down to Ref 1 B Switching and choose your digital input like DI3 to switch between Ref 1 and Ref 1B channel.
    6. Scroll down to Ref 1 B or Ref 2 Config. Set to AI1, AI2, AI3, HMI or Modbus, choose and press OK.

    Example:  Digital input DI3 is high the drive will look at Ref 1B or Ref 2 Channels input and when digital input DI3 goes low the drive will look at Ref 1 config channel. 
    Ref 1 channel is AI1
    Ref 1 B Switching is DI3
    Ref 1 B or Ref 2 channel is AI2

    When digital input DI3 is high (activated), AI2 will be used as the speed reference. 
    When digital input DI3 is low (deactivated), AI1 will be used as the speed reference.
