    Issue:
    Why are programming changes to the communication section of my drive not taking effect?

    Product Line:
    Altivar drives, all models, all serial numbers

    Environment:
    All models, All serial numbers where the parameters in the communication section of the drive have been modified.

    Cause:
    Customer has made changes to the communication parameters of the drive, but the drive is not responding to the changes.

    Resoultion:
    After making changes to the communication section of altivar drives, it is necessary to perform a power cycle of the drive.   Remove all power to the drive and allow the display to go out (this may take from 5 seconds to 1 minute or more).  Once the display is blank, wait 10 more seconds and then reapply power to the drive.  The changes to the communication parameters should now be in effect.
