    Power Monitoring Expert 7.2.x
    Power Monitoring Expert 8.x

    Environment
    PME/PME4HC/PME4DC Installation

    Cause
The local policy "Network access: Do not allow storage of passwords and credentials for network authentication" domain security policies block the creation of Windows scheduled tasks with security options "Run whether the user is logged on or not"

    Resolution

Setting the Network access: Do not allow storage of passwords and credentials for network authentication policy to Disabled.  Please refer to the below images.

    1.  Open the Windows Local Group Policy Editor by pressing the windows key and typing "SECPOL.MSC"
    2.  Once there, navigate to Security Settings > Local Policies > Security Options.

    3.  Once there, find the Network access: Do not allow storage of passwords and credentials for network authentication policy and double click it and set the policy to Disabled in the Local Security Setting tab and click OK.

    4. Once the above local security policy has been disabled, you will be able to manually create tasks in Windows Task Scheduler.
