What can cause an low torque alarm on the ATV61 or ATV71 drive?

    Issue:
What can cause an low torque alarm on the ATV61 or ATV71 drive?

    Product Line:
    Altivar ATV61 and ATV71

    Environment:
    All

    Cause:
Drive is triggering the low torque alarm

    Resolution:
If there is a logic output assigned to (ttL) Low torque threshold I/O menu and the drives motor torque drops below the set or programmed threshold (50%) then the drive will tripper or flash low torque threshold.

You would normally set this if you want to monitor if a belt breaks or if the motors torque drops below a set threshold.
