    What are the recommended torque settings for the 56 series covers

    56 Series - recommended Torque settings

    Cover screws:
    A suitable (calibrated) hand torque tool should be used to tighten the cover screws at recommended torque (if covers are bowed then cover screws have been overtoqued):
    (basic guide for approx torque without torque tool refer notes in blue)

    a) standard gasket (Cat No. 56G#): 0.5-0.8Nm
    (Lightly hand tighten screws until screw head bottoms & gasket is sandwiched then tighten screw further 3/4 to 1 full turn (MAX)

    b) high pressure gasket (Cat No. HPG###): 0.8-1.1Nm
    (Lightly hand tighten screws until screw head bottoms & gasket is sandwiched then tighten screw further 1/2 to 3/4 turn (MAX)
