    Total Energy Readings in ION Setup are different from the CM4000 (CM4) meter display

    Issue
    Energy readings in ION Setup version 3.0.12242.01 are different when compared with energy values read directly from the meter display (3 phase total energy).

    Environment
    ION Setup 3.0.12242.01 or earlier

    Cause
    This is caused by a incorrect register mapping in this version of ION Setup.

    Resolution
    In order to rectify the problem, do one of the following:

    A. Upgrade to the latest version of ION Setup

    B. Modify the RealTime.pml document to have ION Setup show the correct values

    1. In Windows Explorer navigate to 'Tables' folder in ION Setup installation directory and select the respective folder according to the meter type; for example:

    ... \ION Setup\Tables\CM4000\CM4000 for a CM4000
    ... \ION Setup\Tables\CM4000\CM4250 for a CM4250
    ... \ION Setup\Tables\CM4000\Default default selection (this applies when 'Default' is selected under 'Display' tab in device property in ION Setup)

    Note: Here is to find out what template option is selected when adding the meter in ION Setup:

    2. Open 'RealTime.pml' in Notepad (for safe guarding, keep a copy of the file before making modifications).

    3. Scroll down to section [PAGE3] and replace the content with:

    [PAGE3]
    LABEL=Energy
    GRIDLINES=None
    ROWS=6
    COLUMNS=4
    R1C2=Total
    R1C3=In
    R1C4=Out
    R2C1=kWh
    R3C1=kVARh
    R4C1=kVAh
    R2C2=41716,69,0,kWh Total
    R2C3=41700,22,0,kWh In
    R2C4=41708,22,0,kWh Out
    R3C2=41720,69,0,kVARh Total
    R3C3=41704,22,0,kVARh In
    R3C4=41712,22,0,kVARh Out
    R4C2=41724,22,0,kVAh Total
    R6C2=48000,1,30078,Reset Energy

    SCALENUM=5
    SCALE1=0,1,Value
    SCALE2=0,2,Value
    SCALE3=0,3,Value
    SCALE4=0,4,Value
    SCALE5=43214,8,Divide

    4. Save and close the file.

    Note: If ION Setup was connected to the meter during the change, it may be necessary to disconnect and reconnect for the changes to take effect.
