     Use the following procedure to create an IO scanner entry for an NOE module.

    • Open the traffic cop for the Quantum rack.
    • Add the NOE module to the slot in the rack.
    • Open the Configuration tab for the project.
    • Change the 'Config Extension Size from the default of 00000 to a value (i.e., 1200)
    • Save the changes.

     
    • Open the Configuration Extension tab for the project
    • Check off the TCP/IP option.
    • Click on the option name to open the window for the TCP/IP scanner.
    • Assign an IP address to the slot number that the NOE module is traffic copped in.
    • Save the changes.
    • Check off the IO Scanner option
    • Click on the option name to open the window for the IO scanner.
    • Assign the IP address for the slot number that the NOE module is located in.
    • Assign the slot number that the NOE module is located in.
    • Click on the transaction number in the 'Select Transaction' table to display the entry fields in the
    'Remote Device' table.
    • Click on the IP address field in the Remote Device' table.
    • Enter the IP address of the remote device.
    • Repeat the last step for the other fields in the Remote Device' table.
    • Define the transaction type by clicking on the down arrow in the 'Function' and 'Fallback Value'
    selection fields.
    • Click on the text box in the fields for the Read From Remote table and enter the register number
    and length.
    • Save the changes.
    • Download the project to the PLC.
