How is an I/O Event created in Unity Software?

To create an I/O Event in Unity software you will need to follow these steps:
First, go to the Project Browser under Program/Events and right click on 'I/O Events' to get the menu below:
    .
    The following window will appear:
    .
In this window you will be able to designate the event number, the section language, and the level of protection.
Once you have set these values, you will click OK and the event section will open to allow you to write logic as seen below:
    .
Now, you must go to the local drop and double click on the 140HLI34000 module that will control this particular event.
    .
When you open the HLI module you will see the screen below:
    .
To prepare a channel of the HLI for an IO event you will need to choose the interrupt type that you want. Intp.Rise Edge will enable the interrupt on the rising edge of the input signal to the HLI. Intp Fall Edge will enable the interrupt on the falling edge of the input signal and Intp. Both Edges will enable the interrupt on both edges causing the I/O Event section to execute once on the rising edge of this input signal and once on the falling edge of the signal. For this example Intp. Rise Edge was used,
After choosing the interrupt type for the IO Event a menu for choosing the event number will be available as seen here:
    .
You will need to choose the event number that corresponds to the section you want to trigger with this input point.
