    History

The Club Clipsal Charity Initiative has collectively raised over $520,000 since 2009, for the following foundations.

    2014 - 2015 Camp Quality — $286,600

Camp Quality’s purpose is to create a better life for every child living with cancer in Australia. They are committed to delivering national programs that build resilience and optimism in children (0-13 years) living with cancer.

Funds raised remained local to members, helping families in their first year of their cancer journey, the time when research shows that they are most in need. This means support at the hospital, at home, back at school and away from it all at  a camp. On average it costs about $7,100 per family. To find out more go to: www.campquality.org.au

    2012 - 2013 EJ Whitten Foundation — $122,000

The EJ Whitten Foundation honours the legacy of EJ Whitten, “Mr Football”, who died after a long and public battle with prostate cancer. EJ Whitten was the first man of his era to give a voice to prostate cancer awareness.

Club funds raised remained local and went towards raising awareness, promoting early detection and research into the disease. All money raised went to the following beneficiareies of The EJ Whitten Foundation: Monash University – Victoria. The Cancer Council of Victoria. Hansen Institute – SA. Garvan Institute - NSW. Northern Territory Prostate Cancer Institute. To find out more go to: www.ejwhittenfoundation.com.au

The Julian Burton Burns Trust is Australia's leading non-profit organisation dedicated to burn injury. They are committed to influencing social change to reduce the incidence and impact of burn injury.

Funds raised remained local, benefiting organisations such as: The Women’s and Children’s Hospital (SA), Royal Children’s Hospital Burns Unit (Vic), Westmead Children’s Hospital, Royal North Shore Hospital and Concord Repatriation Hospital (NSW), Royal Children’s Hospital (Qld), Jack Dunn Foundation/Royal Perth Hospital (WA), Royal Darwin Hospital (NT) and the Royal Hobart Hospital (Tas). 2009, The Heart Foundation — $25,000

The Heart Foundation is a charity dedicated to fighting the single biggest killer of Australians — heart disease.

The money raised went towards lifesaving research and the ongoing development in the fight to reduce suffering and death from heart disease in Australia; supporting researchers working in recognised institutions across Australia, including universities and hospitals through the provision of funding for both people and projects. The money also supports biomedical clinical and public health research through scholarships and fellowships and grants-in-aid. To find out more go to: www.heartfoundation.org.au
