Clipsal Australia, a subsidiary of Schneider Electric, today announced the acquisition of residential aged care technology provider, Vieo Systems.
Perth based, Vieo Systems delivers tailored intelligent building system and infrastructure solutions for the residential health and aged care and independent accommodation markets. These services include tailored nurse call systems, monitoring, reporting, alarm systems and much more. The company is considered an industry leading specialist in its field of expertise.
The acquisition is the result of a strong working relationship Clipsal has enjoyed with Vieo Systems for the past four years. Clipsal’s market leading C-Bus lighting control and automation technology has successfully partnered with Vieo Systems to provide converged solutions for landmark projects such as SwanCare (Stage 2) Perth, Rylands Kew, RAAFA Merriwa and RSL Care Menora Perth.
The combined Clipsal and Vieo Systems offering will set the standard for the implementation and use of technology for future generations of aged care customers. With 2.5 million Australians over the age of 65, the market is continuing to escalate. Clipsal hopes to target a $50 million slice of the market this year by supporting Vieo Systems with its extensive R&D, sales representation network and excellent relationships with electrical contractors, systems integrators and electrical wholesalers.

Included in the deal are the business relationships Vieo Systems has in place with key providers including Empired Limited and Cisco Systems. Empired Limited is an IT Service provider, contracted to continue providing real time application support and development. Cisco Systems, world leader in IP network infrastructure and voiceover IP technology, will continue to work closely with Vieo Systems and Clipsal.
