Clipsal Datacomms is proud to announce its recent success in receiving an Australian Design Award for the Clipsal Titanium® range of Structured Cabling Products.
The independent judging panel as selected by Standards Australia recommended that the Clipsal Titanium® Range of Patch Panels, Modular Connectors, Cable Management and Data Cabinets be recognized as an example of Australian design excellence in the Business and Technology Category. Clipsal’s entry was one of 15 entries shortlisted in this category of which 4 products were given Australian Design Awards.
The Award was presented to Clipsal Australia Design Portfolio Manager, Gary Busbridge and Clipsal Datacomms Marketing Manager, Andreas Kahl, at the Standards Association Awards ceremony in Sydney on Friday, 19th May 2006.
Clipsal Titanium® products were designed and developed at Clipsal Australia’s head office in Adelaide with a brief to produce data products that are functional in their installation and purpose, to exhibit leading-edge, contemporary aesthetics and provide truly innovative features and benefits to the customer. The cabinets are produced at the companies manufacturing division in Bayswater, Victoria.

The Australian Design Awards are recognised by the Commonwealth Government and the International Council of Societies of Industrial Design [ICSID] as the peak promotional body for the Australian design industry.
In total 230 companies entered the Australian Design Awards, of which 104 entries were short listed. A panel of expert judges gathered in Sydney and selected products for Design Mark and Design Awards in 12 areas across a range of industry sectors including consumer, business and technology, medical and scientific, automotive and transport, housing and building, agriculture and mining, sport and leisure, furniture and lighting, textiles and materials, packaging and point-of-sale, and education.
All Clipsal Titanium® products will now carry the official Australian Design Awards designation. Clipsal Datacomms thanks all personnel who helped make the project the success it is as well as customers who have supported the product range in the market-place.
