Bucks for Burns

The Julian Burton Burns Trust and Clipsal Australia have announced a three year national partnership to save children’s lives. Proudly promoted by electrical wholesalers Australia wide, this is a cause every electrical contractor will want to support.

For every Clipsal smoke alarm you buy over the next three years, Clipsal will contribute 50 cents per sale to the Julian Burton Burns Trust. The partnership program is called Bucks for Burns and will feature on product packaging and point of sale material at your nearest electrical wholesaler.

There are six Clipsal smoke alarms in the range that with your support, will hopefully contribute many thousands of dollars to the Trust:

  • 755SMA – Firetek Ionisation Surface Mount
  • 755PSMA – Firetek Photoelectric Surface Mount
  • 755FM – Firetek Ionisation Flush Mount
  • 755PFM – Firetek Photoelectric Flush Mount
  • SD100 – PDL Ionisation, Surface Mount
  • SD200 – PDL Photoelectric Surface Mount

Your contributions stay in your state and will be used to provide essential resources for the Trust’s Prevention Programs, Patient Care Services and Research Equipment.

Julian Burton OAM, CEO and founder of the Julian Burton Burns Trust says, “We are extremely grateful for the partnership with Clipsal Australia. Burn injuries are horrific, they are painful and disfiguring, especially for young children and together we believe this partnership will prevent many burn injuries through prevention and education.”

“People use the word partnership a lot in business but this really is great relationship, one we are extremely proud to be a part of and that we know our customers will support.” said Damien Cummins, Executive General Manager, Clipsal Australia.

Clipsal smoke alarms are available from your local electrical wholesaler branch.

Who is Julian Burton?

Recovering from the Bali Bombings terrorist attacks in 2002, ex Aussie Rules footy player Julian Burton was inspired to give back to the people and communities who gave their time, skills, and generosity in supporting him and many others less fortunate. In 2003 he founded the Julian Burton Burns Trust. Today, with Julian’s passion and vision, the Julian Burton Burns Trust has become Australia’s first national community organisation solely committed to prevention, care and research associated with burn injury. In 2006 he was awarded an Order of Australia (OAM) Medal for his contribution to the community through the work of the Julian Burton Burns Trust across Australia. In 2010 his efforts were recognised when he was a finalist for the Australian of the Year Award and was named 2010 South Australian of the Year.
