That’s why Clipsal has developed the Clipsal Powerhouse Display Centre. Here every weekend you can call in to see, touch, feel and experience everything electrical that you can have for your home.
The Powerhouse simulates a real home including kitchen, bed room and bathroom, lounge and home theatre room. As you walk through the Powerhouse you will quickly discover the products you need as well as the colour selections and latest styles available including the glass look Saturn and new push-button Impress switch ranges.
"If your perception of electrical accessories is a simple white switch or powerpoint, then you need to come down and see us," says Luke Temme, Clipsal Powerhouse Manager.
"We’ll blow away that perception in less than 30 seconds. In fact, there is a lot to take in and we would recommend that you set aside a good one hour to take in all the choices available."
"And because this is a home environment, the Powerhouse will trigger off ideas to get you thinking about all the ways to make your new home the best it can be. We have remote controlled dimmers, motion sensors, energy efficient lighting, home networking and much more on display."
Hero of the Powerhouse is the C-Bus home automation system that will take your home to a new level. "We’ll show how you how one button can dim your lights and roll down a projector screen. We can even show you how to control your home using an iPhone."
If you’re at the planning stage of your home or extension, Clipsal urges you to come in for a visit as soon as you can. "Once the walls go up it’s not impossible but it is more expensive to change your electrical wiring."
And if you do have your house plans at the ready, you can also book a consultation with a Powerhouse consultant on weekdays to undertake the entire electrical specification of your home on screen right in front of you. The program is called Clipspec and over the course of a couple of hours Clipsal can spec your entire home and provide you with a complete printout to present to your builder or electrician of choice. It’s all here and waiting for you.
